Scottsdale Unified School District requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or health related field and licensure from the Arizona State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support for Healthcare Workers is also required. Arizona school nurse certification by the state board is highly recommended.

Late spring and early summer are when most positions open, although they can occur throughout the year.
