Sue Bettenhausen, director of Nutritional Services, gave a brief overview of current and future programs and products that are enhancing the District’s Wellness Program. The discussion summarized which facilities will stimulate healthy participation in K-12 schools, publications, food products, pilot programs, lunch periods and service delivery. In other action, the Governing Board:
- Approved the Scottsdale Affiliated Administrators (SAA) Employee Agreement for the 2008-09 fiscal year.
- Approved the number of classroom and special-use classrooms per site.
- Approved Legislative Update and Goal Setting
- Accepted gifts valued at $96,267. The gifts were received from Arcadia PTO, Arcadia Pride, Bank of America, Metal Management Arizona, New York Life Foundation, Scottsdale Healthcare, Scottsdale Pop Warner and Scottsdale Unified School District Foundation.
The next regular Governing Board meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on September 16 at the Education Center.
