Dr. David Peterson, interim co-superintendent, provided the Governing Board with a revised facility utilization and capacity report. In other action, the Governing Board:

• Approved the Award of RFP #9006 Superintendent Search Consultant to the Arizona School Boards Association (ASBA) for an amount of $34,500 plus reasonable travel costs if required. The presentation is available on the District’s Web site at: http://www.susd.org/district/govboard/meetings.cfm.
   
• Approval of the Scottsdale Education Association (SEA) Employment Agreement for FY2008-2009.
   
• Approval of the Scottsdale Support Personnel Association Agreement for FY2008-2009.
   
• Accepted gifts valued at $241,347. The gifts were received from Anasazi PTO, Arcadia PTO, Cochise APT, Cocopah APT, CRES PTO, DCMS PTO, DMHS PTO, Hopi PTA, Mountainside PTO, Sequoya APT, Chaparral Life Skills, Chaparral Yearbook, DMHS Basketball Boosters, Saguaro Sabercat Football Foundation, AMEX Charitable Fund, Box Tops for Education, EBay Foundation, Global Impact, Intel Foundation, Junior Golf Association, Palisade Construction, Virginia G. Piper Trust, Steve and Sara Schram, William and Wendy Schucker, Scottsdale Charros, Shade Foundation, USDA-APHIS, Wal-Mart Foundation and Wells Fargo.

A Governing Board Retreat is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on August 15 at the Education Center. The next regular Governing Board meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on August 26 at the Education Center.
