Dr. Ildiko Laczko-Kerr, executive director of curriculum, instruction and assessment, updated the Governing Board on the District Goals for 2007-2008. The item will be brought back as an Action Item on the September 11th Agenda.
Dr. David Peterson, assistant superintendent of operations, presented information to the Board regarding the Policy for Energy Management and Conservation. The item will be brought back as a Consent Agenda Item on the September 11th Agenda.
In other action, the Board:
- Approved an Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Scottsdale for School Resource Officers at four of the District’s high school complexes.
- Accepted an award by the Arizona Department of Education for the 2007-2008 Math/Science Partnership Competition Grant for K-6 Science and Literacy in the amount of $376,107.39.
- Accepted gifts valued at $6,404.75. The gifts were received from Scottsdale Affiliated Administrators, Scottsdale Charros and Scottsdale Education Association.
The next three regular Governing Board meetings are scheduled for 5:30 p.m. September 11, October 2 and November 13 at the Education Center. A Work/Study session is scheduled for 4 p.m. on September 25 at the Education Center.
