In an effort to attract and retain highly qualified teachers, and in response to the results of the 2004-05 SUSD Professional Development Needs Assessment Survey, the SUSD created a beginning teacher coaching program designed to provide job embedded, on-site coaching for beginning teachers in their first two years of teaching. Now in it’s fourth year, the role of SUSD BTCs continues to be valued as BTCs support beginning teachers in the implementation of Arizona’s Professional Teacher Standards.

high quality. Check our our BTC web-site for an example,
and reference the Blast for important reminders about what counts, and what doesn’t, with respect to PD for mentees. Thank you!
|
Mark your calendars: Reminder: All BTCS are expected
to attend one of the following final BTC workshops: either
Wed., May 6th at 4 PM or Tues., May 12th at 6 AM.
